(EZRA) 21/52 : White is associated with purity because the entire spectrum is functioning in unity

I might not be happy with my low key photography shots at the moment, but I’m more than pleased with my high key photos 😀  I still have trouble every now and then with the lighting and exposure (some parts of the image tend to get blown up) but I can work with it.

Ezra wanted to showcase her little flower clip that she bought in Hawaii.  Tito Steve told her to always wear it on her left side because that’s the symbol of a committed woman.  (Single ladies wear the flower on their right side).

This shot reminds me of a shampoo commercial.  I wish I could grow my hair out this long, but I get bored easily and I keep doing weird things to it which leads to me damaging it.

So white!!  When she first suggested the white on white (on white) concept, I was a bit hesitant because I didn’t think we could pull it off, but this turned out better than I expected.  (I initially imagined her face floating in a sea of white because I thought she would blend in with the background.  Thank goodness that didn’t happen – it would have been freaky.)

I used my usual set up for this : one speedlight placed behind her and aimed at the wall for the high key effect, and another beside her and aimed at the ceiling. We placed a reflector on her lap to bounce some light into her face.

Our attempt at high-key photography.   We’re obviously still having a lot of fun with my strobes 😀  Aimed one strobe at the wall behind her, and I bounced a second strobe off the ceiling.  We also placed a reflector on her lap so her face wouldn’t be too shadowy.

I love how this turned out.  She looks so angelic in this shot, totally different from her true personality, mwahaha.  Peace Ezra XD
